Not very long ago, a customer walked into a store and depended on the salesperson to advise him on what to buy.

While that might still hold true today, what is more likely is that a customer does his research online before he walks into a store!

Indeed, the internet has completely disrupted the way India shops. A study conducted by PwC highlights some interesting new-age consumer habits: while 37% of shoppers feel that social media motivates them to buy something, 40% say that they want to order something online as soon as they like it!
